Completed in 2016, the Manjung 5 power plant is located in Manjung, Perak State, 207 km northeast of Kuala Lumpur. This 1×1000 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant extends the original Manjung plant (3×700 MW), operational since 2004. Owned by TNB Janamanjung Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), Malaysia’s state-controlled power company, the project includes a 38-meter-high concrete fly ash silo and a 200-meter-high concrete chimney. FERBECK was awarded the EPC contract by Daelim Industrial Co. Ltd. for these structures.
