Situated on the Bay of Bengal, the Chittagong power plant is a 1.32GW coal-fired facility, a joint venture between S. Alam Group, SEPCOIII (China), and HTG Development Group (China). It’s part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to generate up to 10 billion kWh of electricity annually.
